Using Classifier Dates

FAQ

ForScore keeps track of when someone last shot a Classifier match.
With the optional Event Module, the software can also help ensure that someone has shot a relevant Classifier within a year prior to a major match.

Shooters' classifier dates are automatically updated in the master database when you Commit a classifier match.
The dates are normally read-only, but you can click the Unlock Dates button and then edit them manually.

You can sort the shooters database based on date of last classifier shot:

To track classifier dates for a specific match, the Event module must be installed.
(It does not matter whether you've selected to enable the event button in Program Preferences.)

Open the match definition form and specify that this is a sanctioned match.

When you register a shooter for a match, his current classification data will be included.
Remember that the match registration is a SNAPSHOT.  If you change the shooter's information, you will need to open his registration form and use the Refresh button.

There is also a button on the match registration screen, when you select sorted by classification dates.  It will scan through the shooters' database and update all shooter records for this particular match with the latest classification dates.
So....   you can run a classifier match, commit the match (which will update the master shooters database), then click the Update Classification Dates for a particular match.  Printouts made when the registration screen is sorted by classifier date (as shown in the screen shot) will include this information.
