  • all stages for one shooter at a time
  • specify a stage, then go right to that entry page for each shooter
  • for random scoresheets, key in shooter number and stage number

  • Ability to drop a stage during the match
Shooters Database
  • If you've been using the official (unmodified) IDPA software (either the old version, or the new version they released to support ESR), there's a wizard to import your database of shooters into ForScore.
  • Automatically update shooters' classifications after a classifier.
  • Track shooters' last classifier dates.
  • Can sort shooters database based on last name, first name, date last shot, date of last classifier.
  • Direct one-click access from the shooters database to send an e-mail to any specific shooter.
  • Track membership  -  IDPA, local range, local club, qualified Safety Officers.
  • Wizard to mark shooters as 'inactive' who haven't shot since a specified date
  • Print phone lists
  • Official IDPA 'club contacts' can make a list of IDPA numbers for people who shot a match and paste those into the IDPA website to obtain current membership status and classifications for those shooters
Registration
  • Register shooters in more than one division per match; optionally, the same guy can shoot the same division twice in a match (reentry).
  • View and print shooters registered for a match sorted alphabetically, by shooter number, by squad, by division, by classification, staff only, safety officers only.   (With optional Event module, also sort by classifier date).
  • Track match fees while registering shooters.
  • Track pistols used by shooters.   ('Miscellaneous' webpage shows stats for pistol manufacturers and calibers used - here's an example.)
  • You can define pistols, and specify which divisions they're appropriate for.    (Starter list supplied).

  • Preliminary results can be printed during a match and posted so shooters can check against their scoresheets.    They show only stages completed, not any partial match totals.
  • Specify optional background color or background wallpaper for HTML (web) match results.
  • Web and print/PDF results can display a grid and/or a greybar effect for readability.
  • Results for classifier matches can optionally show which shooters have improved their classifications.
  • Classifier results can also blank scores for shooters whose IDPA memberships are not current.

Optional Modules
Barcode (hardware not included)
For basic information on barcode hardware, check the online documentation
  • Print match labels with barcode
  • For a specific match, with shooters name, shooter number
  • For a club match, with only shooter number and stage number
  • For shooters' IDPA cards.
  • Print barcoded labels before a match on a regular inkjet or laser printer
Optionally, specify a separate label printer and automatically select it and print barcode labels for each shooter as you register him.
  • Scan a barcode label on a scoresheet and go directly to the score entry form for that stage number for that shooter.
  • Scan a shooter's IDPA barcode and open a registration screen for that shooter.  If he's not already in your database, there's the option to add him.
Compare
Personally, I'd never do another large sanctioned match without using this feature. It sounds like a lot of extra work, but you can enter scores much faster and your eyes don't start glazing after hours of staring at the screen, checking for errors.
  • Two (or more) operators enter the same match data on two (or more) computers.   Then use the Compare button to look for any discrepancies between them. (The 'or more' is for large matches (more than, say, 2000 scoresheets) where two computers form 'Team A' and between them enter all the scores, and two other computers form 'Team B' and enter all the scores.)
  • Optionally, set the entry screens for the 'B team' computer(s) to a different color, so you can tell at a glance which is which.
  • Only one computer at a match needs to have the Compare module activated (licensed) to do the compare, but only licensed Compare machines can use the alternate background color.
  • Comparison screen points out exactly where the systems differ on a particular score sheet, and lets you edit either computer from that screen.
Event
  • Supports matches up to 32 stages (requires version 2.0)
  • Option to keep track of who has passed chrono and/or equipment checks (requires version 2.0)
  • Show Division Champions at top of match results.   Also, optionally adjust numbering of place standings in each classification so division champion is listed as DC, and the second place guy is numbered 1, etc.
  • Specify a date range for a large match (i.e. "June 6 to 8") rather than just a single date (requires version 2.0).
  • Rename Military, Industry, International, and Press categories - ('High Beretta' , for example).
  • Sort match registration by the dates of shooters' last classifier matches - any classifier and classifier for the division in which they're shooting.
  • Designate safety officers distinct from regular staff on a per-match basis
  • Awards wizard  -  use as a checklist.  Calculates how many awards in each division, which shooters get bumped up a classification (revised for 2005 rulebook), High Senior, High Novice, etc. Can also print mailing labels for people who won awards.
  • Track event items for each shooter  -  T-shirt size, meal choice, staff/regular registration fee, etc.
  • Track match fees for each shooter, based on entry type, optional items requested, etc.
  • Generate name badges with IDPA logo or your own custom graphic.
  • Keep an ongoing list of people you want to thank after the match.
