Importing Shooters into Outlook
Once you've exported your database of shooters, two steps are required in order to import the information into Microsoft Outlook®. (Screen shots for this example were created with Outlook 2000®.)
1. Create a new Contacts-type folder in Outlook.
2. Import the CSV file you've created with ForScore into that new folder in Outlook.
1. Creating a new Contacts-type folder in Outlook
Make sure the Folder List is displayed in Outlook. If it is not, click View on the menu and then click Folder List.

Right-click Outlook Today at the top of the Folder List, then click New Folder.

Specify that the type of folder you're creating is Contact Items. Give the folder a descriptive name - I've called mine Shooters. Select where to place the folder - I'm leaving mine as shown, but you might prefer to create a new folder underneath the existing Contacts folder.

2. Importing the CSV file into your new folder
On the File menu in Outlook, click Import and Export.

Select Import from another program or file and click Next.

Select Comma Separated Values (Windows) and click Next.

Browse to the location of your exported SHOOTERS.CSV file. Click Next.

Specify that we're going to be importing the information into the Shooters contact folder that you created, then click Next.

Accept the defaults on this next screen and click Finish.

Depending on the size of your shooters file, it may take a couple of minutes for the import process to finish.

When you then click on your Shooters folder, the list of contacts will be displayed.

Contact information will include the shooter's IDPA number and classification:
