My anti-virus hates your installer (or uninstaller)!

Some anti-virus programs don’t like anything that doesn’t have a “reputation” based on thousands of downloads. Others look for a pattern of a few bytes and complain if they find that, regardless of whether it’s really an issue. If you ever have questions, I recommend submitting the file you’re worried about to VirusTotal. That site will run it through 50 different anti-virus programs, and you can see whether it’s only one or two oddballs that complain or whether something may actually be a problem.
